Comments: Great site,I especially liked the Danang area photos, since many of mine were either lost or destroyed.I have described China Beach to others as one of the most beautiful places on earth that I'd ever been to,and now I have some photos. When I look at these photos of yours,it is hard to believe that a horrible war went on,in such a beautiful place.Thank you and Semper Fi!dtjp@aol.com

Comments: I'M SO THANKFUL FOR SITES LIKE THESE. I RECENTLY ADOPTED AN MIA AND I WISH MORE PEOPLE COULD GET INVOLVED AND TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT SO MANY BEAURACRATS AND POLITICIANS HAVE LET GO UNDONE FOR SO MANY YEARS. THIS GOVERNMENT HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SACRAFICED AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. I WISH THERE WAS MORE THAT I COULD DO MYSELF. MY UNCLE IS A VIETNAM VET WHO SERVED TWO TOURS, THERE IS NO ONE I RESPECT MORE. TO ANY VETS WHO MAY READ THIS, GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU-YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE OF US WHOM WILL NEVER FORGET. IT'S TIME TO BRING OUR MEN HOME.

Thankfully, he came home alive, but I am looking for some information about this unit. He served from December 1968 to December 1969. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal. I am very proud of him, but he is unwilling to share his experiences in any detail about his year in Nam. I would appreciate any possible information about his unit. His name and rank is Hospital Corpsman Second Class Richard A. Bailey. Thanks. Todd Bailey
