Comments: You were right, and so were your "viewers." You have done a LOT of work on this site, and it is something to be proud of. Please keep up the good work. I will let you know when my site is up and running. Starting over from "scratch" is taking one step at a time, so the WEBB page has not yet reached the top of my "to-do" list. See you at group!

Times past by and sometimes i think if that really happenned to me that i went overthere and back.

Comments: My father, a Vietnam vet who served with the 3/27 Marines, and I are actively compiling an anthology about the effects of a parent's service in Vietnam on his or her children. Children of survivors are an all too often forgotten group---we see the mental, physical, and emotional stress and costs of a legacy of war on a day to day basis, yet there is no national forum for discussing problems unique to children of surviving combat veterans. My literary agent has asked me for a manuscript, but I need more voices and more stories about how you and/or your family did or did not discuss Vietnam. Both vets and their children are encouraged to respond. Do you want your children to construct their thoughts on the war based on films, books, inadequate history in school? We need your story to continue to promote healing and understanding between veteran parents and their children.

Comments: Hi! I am cruising all of the veteran sites that I can find to reaffirm the unique bond of patriotism we veterans share, no matter when or where we served. I think that any site celebrating our brothers and sisters in uniform is an honorable endeavor and am proud to call you family. I am in pursuit of continuing the effort by trying to complile a book about women veterans (hopefully, the first in a series of such veteran books) and need your help in finding our sisters who would be willing to share an experience or two of their active duty days. "In Her Own Words" is simply a book in progress of essays written by women veterans. If you know of someone who might be interested in sharing her story(ies), please pass my e-mail address on to her. Thank you and God bless. Keep up the good work! Brenda

Comments: I served with 2/11th Arty, 101st Abn Div, Camp Eagle, Phu Bai/Hue, '69-'70. Am writing an account of my 19 months (early out) in Army for my kids (and myself). Searching for accounts and descriptions of events that took place around and when I was there to help me remember things. I seem to have trouble remembering names and details. Is this common? Is this a trick the mind plays to protect us?

Comments:  Thank You for having photos to view.It kind of helps us see what it look like in the in the field. My family and I just recently visited the mobile Living Wall which was in Mineral Wells,TX.It's a moving experience to actually see all the names on the wall.there so many lives lost.Ihad a cousin that was killed in the vietnam war.And to actually see a his name on the wall for the first was truly emotional.I would like to thank the VETS who made it possible for those of us who never seen the Living Wall possible for us to see,by making a exact replica and taking it all over the United States for others to view.Ialso learned that Ft.Wolters which is located in Mineral,Wells Tx trained 90% of the helicopter pilots in Vietnam.

Comments:  Real nice site, I have seen things I thought I would never see again. I was stationed at Tien Sha from 71 to 72, I was assigned to the NSF Police then working with CID. Remember making patrols up Monkey Mountain pass the AFVN stations, pass the plane (which like most of us did, had to put my name on it). Remember watching the old French fort on the seaward side of the mountain. Couldn't get close to it of course. Making my runs down to the "Deep Water Piers" where all the "SeaLand" trucks were parked. Racing down the highway at a speedy 30mph (Max speed limit, 15 on Base). Yes, I was a traffic cop, watching for speeders along my highway. I was able to pick out my old barrack from your photo of Tien Sha. Thanks for the memories I thought were long gone. If anyone out here was there during this time frame, please drop me a line.
